We are excited to announce the upcoming Conference on “Decolonising the African Mind for Leadership Through Afrocentric Ethics,” proudly organized by the Afrocentric Ethics for Leadership and Social Responsibility Foundation (AELSRF).
Date: 27th November 2025
Venue: Faculty of Arts Conference Hall, University of Lagos
Participation: Hybrid (Physical & Virtual)
Why This Conference Matters
For far too long, Africa’s leadership frameworks have been influenced and in many ways constrained by the lingering shadows of colonialism. These external legacies continue to shape how leaders think, govern, and engage with their communities. The AELSRF Conference seeks to ignite fresh conversations, propose practical pathways, and reclaim Africa’s indigenous wisdom as a foundation for ethical and transformative leadership.
By decolonising the African mind, we are not only questioning inherited systems of thought but also reimagining leadership rooted in African ethical principles, cultural values, and communal responsibility.
This conference will bring together scholars, thought leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, civil society actors, and students to engage in deep dialogue and actionable strategies for building an Africa-led future.
